Runs in your browser

Nothing you type here is uploaded, logged, or stored. The file is built on your own machine and disappears when you close the tab.

What this prints

A period, a list of days with what you did and how long it took, a total, and a block for your client to sign. Rates are optional: turn them off and it is an hours-only record for an approver, turn them on and it doubles as the working behind the invoice that follows.

Decimal hours, not clock times

Seven and a half hours is 7.5, because that is the number a rate gets multiplied by. Rounding is yours to decide — quarter-hour blocks (0.25) are the common convention for professional work, and rounding every small task up to a full hour is the one a client notices.

The approval block earns its place

An approved timesheet is what makes the invoice behind it hard to argue with, and on a time-and-materials contract it is often what the contract requires before you may bill at all. Get it signed by whoever holds the budget rather than the person you work with day to day; they are frequently not the same person.

What this does not do

It does not track time — you type it in at the end of the week from whatever you were using. It also does not become an invoice: the total is right there to copy, and copying it is the friction that comes with a free tool.

Questions, answered

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no watermark, no limit on rows.

Where do the hours go?

Nowhere. Everything happens in your browser and the tab is the only copy.

Can I invoice from it?

Not directly. Switch rates on, take the total, and use the invoice generator — the numbers will agree, because it is the same arithmetic. Tracked hours turning into invoice lines by themselves is a product feature rather than a free tool.

Can I hide the rates?

Yes, with the checkbox. A sheet going to a site supervisor for signature usually should not carry your day rate, particularly when they are not the person paying it.
