Two ways of writing the same invoice
EN 16931 defines one set of business terms and two syntaxes that can carry them: UBL, used across most of the Peppol network, and CII, used by France and inside the Factur-X and ZUGFeRD hybrids. A conversion between them is a rename (cbc:ID becomes ram:ID) and not a recalculation. Which is why the customer asking for "the other one" is asking for something reasonable.
The mapping, shown to you
The field-by-field view lists every core term, the path it has in each syntax, and the value that was carried. That is there so you can answer the only real question about a converter (did my invoice number, my VAT number and my total survive) by looking rather than by trusting. A term the source left empty shows as absent rather than being quietly filled in.
What cannot come along
The mapping covers the EN 16931 core. Allowances and charges, attachments, delivery details, contract and project references, a separate payee, a tax representative and any vendor extension are outside it, and rather than dropping them silently, the tool lists which of them your file actually contained. If one is listed, this conversion is not the whole invoice.
What this is not
It is not a Factur-X generator: producing one means embedding the XML in a PDF/A-3, which is a different job. It does not validate, so a file with broken totals converts into a file with the same broken totals. And it will not invent data: an absent term stays absent, because guessing one is how a converter turns a rejection into a wrong invoice.

No. Both the reading and the writing happen in your browser. There is no server on this page to upload to.
Can I get a Factur-X PDF out of it?
Not yet. You can get the CII XML that goes inside one, but embedding it in a PDF/A-3 with the right metadata is a separate step this tool does not do.
Is the conversion lossless?
For the EN 16931 core, yes, and amounts are copied character for character rather than recomputed. For anything outside that core, no, and the tool names what it left behind instead of letting you find out later.
